5K event deemed ‘awesome’

Our 9th Annual 5K started and ended at 695 East Green St, Maxton Park, Butler,In. All proceeds went toward the new food pantry building. Everyone who participated enjoyed some fun. We had participants who chose to walk or run, and some participated as a family, a group as well as individually

All participants had a chance to win one of three $50 gift cards from LEGENDS RUNNING SHOP, Angola. Fresh fruit and snacks were made available plus water stations along the way. “We can build it!” T-shirts were given with pre-registration. Those that didn’t purchase a t-shirt wore construction yellow or green t-shirts to show their support.

“Our 5K this year was awesome! We had a large turnout,” said Executive Director Melinda Evers. “Thank you to all our sponsors, participants, and are amazing volunteers! Congratulations to all the winners and to the $50 gift cards to Legends Running Shop! See you next year!”
